"Crysis Will Make You **** Yourself" - April 25, 2007
...says Cevat Yerli, CEO of Crytek. He told PC Zone magazine that the game contains many shocks and scares throughout the story. He promises the initial contact that players have with an alien will scare the hell out of them. Remember that the recently leaked alien footage is old and does not represent the current game, so who knows what changes Crytek have made since that video was recorded. Cevat also explains that the story has been condensed to make it more intense and to improve the quality of the game. "Making the game longer would have been no problem" exclaims Cevat, "but in order to have consistently high quality the game had to be condensed. It's a very, very busy game with intense and pulsating".

Yes another crysis thread...sorry...there wasn't one on the front page :D

When I first met the monsters in far cry, they scared me for some reason. I think ill have a few shots of Vodka when I reach the scary part of the game.

same, I think it was because they were so unexpected, maybe I wasn't paying enough attention though...

The first game to ever actually scare me was the original Half Life. There were several parts where I actually jumped a bit. Then there were a couple spots in Quake4, FarCry was pretty creepy once the Trigens got introduced, HL2 wasn't really scary, neither was EP1. FEAR was pretty spooky though. :D

Looking forward to this game a lot.

I kinda thought Crysis would have a few "scary" parts but Cevat makes it sound like I'm going to be terrified.....which I doubt. Something to look forward too I guess.

what do you think Crysis 2 will be like and what kind of computer does it take to play that.

It actually is a huge innovation in programing. All it will need is a PentiumII 266 with 64MB of RAM. Any video card with just 2MB of memory should run it at medium settings without a problem. It will work perfectly in DOS, Win9x, XP, Vista, and any 64-bit variant of Windows.

Oh, and it will be bundled with DNF. :p

I am also scared at how its going to run on a GTS and a single core Athlon. I can either upgrade or go to San Francisco for a two week holiday with the missus. Decisions decisions.
