Apparently they actually upgraded the drivers! So now you can update those drivers from late 2001 that work sporadically! Finally!
....whoop de do. I'm not sure I care anymore. But someone might.

It's a V92 modem.

That would often refuse to dial out and lock your computer for a minute in the process.
Yep.
Ahhh yeah i remember now i had one quite a while back the when disconnecting from the net then later on connecting to the net would crash the computer lmao, no matter now as i have been on cable for a year tomarrow :) i forgot how slow dial up was!!
good to know, thanks
(not that I use my modem much these days but still :D )

Uhm........is that also referred to as a "Creative Blaster 90v" or something? 'Cause I just got a PC delivered here today with an old one of 'em in it and I ain't never heard of it and I find this just too extremely coincidental to be coincidence......... (I gots me weird luck this way. ;) )

It's a v92 actually <g> but it's a specific model, not the generic retail model

That 'special' v92 modem hosed a 2k & 2 XP installs. I went and bought the generic 'Broadexant' v92 modem (lost my old one in a storm), and it worked.
The broadexant (creative) modem I have now is one chip revision behind the Creative-branded one. Heh. Guess Creative has more trouble than just their drivers, lol.
