excellent, Beta 1 of 2.9 was good imo. hrm, just checked the fixes and it doesnt seem to affect me yet (multimonitor video for example) but its still good to seem them improving on the 2.x series when the 3.x has been out for awhile.

Simple just love it. Almost like winamp 3 but with being dang near as trusty as 2. Can't wait for it to come out of beta

currently im playing MP3s with it and its using between 0 and 2% cpu acording to the Taskmanager. its using about 10megs of memory. whereas Winamp3 would use about 20+ on my system.

playing video makes CPU jump to around 30-40% which isnt bad. the ram usage seems to be around the same 11megs. so all in all WA2.9 seems to be the best of both WA2 and WA3, that being the media library, video, and improved audio. with the speed and memory usage of 2.x

edit: Im using a P3 733 btw

I'm not sure anymore if it hogs ram since i have 1 gig of ram. I doubt there is a lot of programs that really eat that much to affect things now.
