I set my resolution at 1600x1200, get my gadgets and icons all positioned, I reboot and I'm back at 1024x768 and my gadgets and icons are all over the place. I have tried different monitor drivers and always get the same result. I'm running the latest drivers from NVIDIA right now (158.18). I have gotten the same results with any drivers I use from them. This is a dual-boot machine and I have never had any such problems on my XP boot drive.

I currently have my monitor set at the LCD 1600x1200 60mhz driver. When I reboot, it has the max resolution set at 1024x768 even though it had a 1600x1200 max before I rebooted (its still using the same driver but it now says 1024x768 is the max for the driver called 1600x1200). If I go in and update the driver to the same driver that it is already using and close my display properties, it once again has 1600x1200 as the max that I can set my resolution to when I open it again.

Help? :o

What kind of monitor is it?
Dell 2001fp LCD monitor (in my sig)

I've tried the Dell 2007fp drivers for Vista32 but I got the same results (they don't have Vista32 2001fp drivers).
