I am thinking of overclocking my XP2400+cpu (unlocked).
What do ya reckon I should be able to get it up to with stability the main factor?
What changes should I make to my CPU V core voltage? Also what should I set the BIOS cpu/memory ratio too? At the moment it is 4:5.
Current loaded temp is 34c & Mobo 25c

XP2400+
512MB Samsung original DDR2700
Asus A7V333
80GB Maxtor Diamondmax Plus 7200rpm ATA133
Macron 400 Watt PSU
Crucial Radeon 9700 Pro
Soundblaster Audigy Player
Windows XP Pro SP1
Catalyst 3.2

Just experimenting with my standard heatsink and fan combo, I have upped the FSB to 166/33mhz, lowered the multiplier to 13x, adjusted the memory ratio to 1:1 & set the memory timings to SPD (CAS2.5) as before I ran it at CAS2. I also upped the core voltage to 1.75.
That gives me 2.17Ghz which I believe makes it an XP2700+!!
My temps are now CPU 37c & mobo 33c.
It seems rock solid.
Am now considering getting some Corsair RAM so I can run at CAS2 to go with a better heatsink& fan & the Samsung stuff will not have it.
Is this any good and how much further should I go?? I do not wanna fry anything.

I have installed a Thermalright SLK-800 & YS-TECH 80mm 45cfm fan & at stock speeds my XP2400+ averages 26c & mobo 28c. Is this good & can I expect the temp to drop futher when my artic silver III beds in a bit?
