Ayrton Senna - 13 years

Today marks 13 years since the great Ayrton Senna had his crash at Imola, San Marino and died. That day, the motorsport world lost what is considered by many the quickest and greatest racing driver of all time. He is ranked #1 on the Top 50 Quickest in F1 Racing magazine and will forever be remembered for his speed and those amazingly quick 65 pole positions. And who can forget some of his best drives ever, Donington Grand Prix 1993 and Estoril Grand Prix 1985 where he demolished the opposition in a car with less power than most of his rivals.

Senna was genius.

But, Juan Manuel Fangio was the best.

R.I.P. Senna. Your battles with Alain Prost brought me to F1 racing as a spectator. I remember a race @ monaco where Prost had lapped everyone save Senna and was on Senna's heels but Senna would not yield. He stayed out, with his tires shredding, for pride. It was an unbelievable race and such courage :) He finally had to pit but for a few laps... his tires were just shredding and he kept on pushing, in monaco of all places.

You will be forever missed Senna.
