Thank God. I got the demos from a torrent since they aren't going to have demos available for another month or two (or at least, that's what they were saying on Adobe.com last week when I was looking) and so far, I really like what I'm seeing.

They kept Dreamweaver almost identical while bolstering its CSS abilities and, most importantly, integrating their awesome Ajax framework Spry right into the program. That right there is HUGE. Finally, a drag-and-drop IDE for Ajax that makes it simple to not only get Ajax up and running, but the framework is incredibly easy and powerful to use.

Version 1.5 should be out soon and it adds TONS of great new features, too.

http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/spry has more info about it.

Haven't used the PS CS3 demo yet. I should fire that up, though, to see what's new and see what all this fuss about the 3D functionality is.

They kept GoLive and it's now marketed as the "Entry-level" web design program that allows people to quickly and easily create a website while Dreamweaver is for the web professional.

That pisses me off because that means people STILL aren't being forced to design in CSS while adhering to web standards.

I think GoLive is not there anymore. They have Adobe Dreamweaver CS3 for intermediate and advanced users, and Adobe Contribute CS3 for absolute beginners..

// EDIT: GoLive is (finally) dead:

Right...it's not in CS because no designer in their right mind would ever use it.

From the FAQs:

Can I still buy Adobe GoLive CS2 as a standalone product?
Yes, Adobe GoLiveŽ CS2 software is available to license as a standalone product for both new and upgrade customers.

Will there be another version of Adobe GoLive?
Yes, GoLive will continue as a standalone product, and a future release of GoLive 9 is planned for spring 2007.

Plus, I read in another interview in my DMXZone monthly eMagazine that they were targeting GoLive at complete n00bs.

Adobe is open sourcing Flex? What exactly is Flex?

Flex is a Flash GUI built on proprietary XML. It's incredibly powerful and very easy to use.

And Flex has been free for Eclipse users since it was released over a year ago.
