Yike :scarey: It will be very hot to cooling 240W 2900 XT core at 100C like a kettle boiling very hot water.
I wonder what the threshold will be. PC cases with poor air flowing will be higher than 100C.

wow,
they should release taht thing in winter, so people could use it heat up the room. Releasing it in spring/summer is bad idea.
As long as it doesn't affect performance of the card I don't really care. I have a feeling though that the fans going to be loud.

That thing outta come w/ its own dry-ice pack.
I know this is fudzilla, but if this is true then it's ridiculous. The card was reported to consume up to 260W, so it might be true.
Yea 100c default wondring what the temp is at 1000Mhz Gpu speed ?

I installed the Windows language pack for that site, but it still reads in Chinese.
Try this.

Here is what Gibbo says.
Hi there
Also regarding this 100c nonsence.
This is making my blood boil now.
AMD/ATI let me tell these guys the real facts about this card because the utter crap on the internet is literally that, CRAP!
The card is quiet, in fact its more or less silent even after a good gaming session. It also stays in the 70c-80c under full load whilst overclocked and still remains quiet.
At stock speeds its generally around the 60c-70c mark and the heatsink does not burn to the touch like an 8800GTX or X1950 XTX, so the card can be handled even after a mad benchmarking session.

Thats good news.
Can't wait to read some reviews. :)
Looks like the OP has been busy, wonder what his agenda is?

My 2900XT never got that hot even when I had it overclocked at 875 ,but the fan could get loud.I turned it on 100% and it was really loud. This is a card I wish I had never bought.
