Eh, wmv files seem to like to lock up my system with these. Mostly happens when trying to seek through a file, but it also happens at the start of playback. I guess I'll have to go back to my previous set.

no spyware/viruses, its a known bug in certain versions. nhancer has to be used to recover it. by delete i mean completely dissapear from right-click desktop>properties>settings>advanced. I also don't like to have it lurking on my taskbar so after i removed it there, magically it completely dissapears in the monitor settings as well.

Installs fine with 7950GX2, and has both GPU's enabled.
The other 16x (165.01) driver only works in single GPU, so this is way better.
It has got the newer new CP wich is better than the previous one.
Perfomance is about the same as 93.81 drivers.

If ntune is needed for temperature checking, remove temp option in menu please...one misplaced click and voila another popup promoting ntune like an advertisement...
( ntune ruins bios overclocked system stabillity on asus nforce4 mainboards, that is why I do not install it )
( ntune is not supported by my other intel i7205 ( granite bay ) system, with 6800ultra AGP )

Agreed, it's not like we already have "how it's meant to be played" and now this........although you can change to the old cp, and check it if you want.
I have 2 reg files....one for old and one for new if you need em I can post, becuase the option for old cp isn't in the new one, so now you have to use reg files, bleh.

No thanks. I'll stick with the 93.71 drivers until Nvidia themselves releases an official driver for my 7800 GS. I have zero problems with the 93.71 driver and have no reason to upgrade until Nvidia releases a new official driver.

Well, no harm give it a try! This driver will not screw up anything! :)

Sometimes, the unofficial one could be better than the official release! ;)

I'm happy sticking to this 160.03! Personally, it's the best of the best in all recent releases including the moddies!

Yep, in six or seven years of using Nv cards I have NEVER had a driver do anything to upset my system. There has only been 2/3 times where a bug in the driver has made me return to the earlier one.

Yes, same here, just use High quality setting, because in most of time, I play IL2, high quality AF look better/

Can you post them? Do they work with 165.01? There is no refresh override in the new control panel and things like refreshforce bork Fable if you use them.

Now keep in mind you will have to run each reg file, each time you want to use a specific cp, because neither has the option to switch back to the other, hence to 2 reg files.

I've tested both and both work.
I have not however tested the oc functions and such, but I use rivatuner 2.01 for that, wich these work with just fine.

Thanks alot! I had problems with 158.xx not showing me any control panel at all despite numerous uninstalls/reinstalls different versions etc. Used this to add the old cp so I now can tweak game settings. New cp still dont work anyway.

Gonna try 160.03 and see if it fixes it. :)

That would be kewl and all, but as far as I know, overclock doesn't work since quite a few drivers back, the overclock shows but doesn't stick, once you reboot it resets to default.............other 3d stuff works still though.

Honestly LCD's haev coem a LONG way since what they were.....you can acutually get a decent one now these days, and doesn't have that shadow effect as I call it, where the mouse trails and such, the "lcd refresh" (not sure what the name for it is) is pretty good these days, I've seen 4ms lcd's now. The lcd tv's are getting really nice, and low price too, hd lcd ftw (drool)

Only thing that stops me from grtting one is the price, a person makeing only $10 an hr, supporting a wife and 2 kids, doesn't have much left for anything.

i think the 160.03 is a good set of drivers oblivion performance with some tweaks not loosing much quality either if at all
and ARMA is like it is tuff as heck to get look great and run smooth

well 3DMarks are way up from before so i´m pleased if it wasn´t for the CP crashing why is that this installation is a few days old.

when i try alter something i´n FEAR settings in NV CP it crashes weird but other than that it is ok drivers

Same, I got the LG 204WT. Paid just over $200 and it's bloody fantastic LCD. I couldn't ever see myself go back to a CRT.. It undeniable that my LCD blows my old CRT away. My previous arguments against LCD's were literally wiped away when I saw the quality of picture of my current LG.

This driver works great, I was using last nVidia posted WHQL drivers. These ones work fantastic with everything so far and actually I notice that my games seem snappier as well as my desktop and general windows use. I'm sticking with these! :)
