Hey I was wondering if there is a simple way to get sound for my 360 thats hooked up to a monitor but not near a pc. Can I buy some smaller cost effective speakers? If anyone can recommend a pair that are even capable of this it was be great.

Are you using the VGA? You could get a female-female coupler attachment and use some headphones or cheap speakers like the Logitech X-530 which is about $60 at Amazon.

If cost-eff. is in the 120-180 range then I'd actually recommend the abit's without a subwoofer, simply due to the fact they're digital and uncompressed @ 24/96. They require an digital optical connection.

If you can spend a 100 more then you could some more bass w/ the subwoofer.

I have this (picture above posted by LiquidX) set up using a set of powered speakers but I can't adjust the volume with the speaker control. It comes out super loud and I always have to set the volume levels through the 'Option' within the game. This is a problem also when playing DVDs. There is no volume option. Any suggestions?
