Title says it. What is currently best driver for this card?

Personally, I still like the 8456's best for my 7800GS AGP. The newer ones offer no improvements and come with that crap, stinking, slow, clunky, new control pannel that completely and utterly sucks monkey a$$.

With the 93.71's I did find the GPU to have some headroom but the memory was pretty well stuck at 400MHz (800MHz effective). I would have stability problems above 415MHz on the memory but I believe the GPU is capable of 530 to 580MHz. The card I have hit 558MHz using the CP with no problems as long as I left the memory alone, and this was with the 93.71 drivers.

I would say 91.47 which works great on my 7800gs.

The latest 160.03 is one hell of an excellent driver for AGP's 7XXX! ;)

Note: I use it with nhancer 2.2.3 as profiles editor.

That's right, if you hate the new CP, 84.56 WHQL is the last driver before they decided in their infinite wisdom to cripple it's functionality forever.

If you use CoolBits exclusively, then 92.91 beta is the last driver before the the nv driver team permanantly broke it's functionality for an entire family of older cards. Again, the wisdom of those in charge of the nv driver team says CoolBits bad, ntune good.

Hello,

I have some interesting results on benchmarking my Asus EN7600GS 256mb AGP videocard.

My rig: Athlon 64 3000+ @ 2Ghz, 1024 mb DDR, SiS 760GX Winfast socket 754 mainbord, Maxtor 40Gb 7200rpm IDE harddisk, HuntKey 550Watt powersupply and above graphiccard.

Though the newest Forceware 181.22 is faster than the previously released 175.16 it shows distorted images in 3d applications on my computer.

I've been trying lots of different driver's to obtain best results with 3dMark05.
Finally the best score I achieved was: 3652 3dmarks using Forceware 93.71
instead of 2509 3dmarks using Forceware 175.16

Not only do I get a much smoother gameplay, I can still use the classic Nvidia Control Panel and enable coolbits like it used to work.

181.22 refuses to work for 3D for my 7-series AGP card. Any driver before or beta after works.
