Doesn't seem boring to me, more like the best bang for the money.

good system

but i would recomend Thermalright Ultra-120 extreme instead of Sythe Ninja 120mm HSF.

Will cost you about the same, and ultra extreme cools allot better.

I was considering that HSF....but while I was shopping newegg popped an instant $20.00 savings on the Ninja, so in the cart it went...
I'm sure the Ninja will be more than enough cooling for where I hope to run....(3 to 3.2ghz)

Very nice choices. I was just about to do something similar to that but decided to hold off for either the quad intel price drops or barcelona which ever makes sense as far as $$ to performance. The ststem that I have has been really good to me so I can wait awhile longer. Again nice setup, have fun.

That's an awesome "Boring" PC. If Intel had the 4mb Cache on the 6300/6400 when I made my build 5 months ago, I definately would have gone with one of those.

Have fun!

I only say "boring" because some ppl here have some seriously "not boring" monster rigs
I did a few of those in the past....now I'm only looking for solid gaming performance and decent OCing. Hell,I'm not even going to touch that Foxy GTX because 630/2000 is where I'd want to run if I clocked it myself

I'm with ya on that. I have enough other money sinks besides my PCs. I almost always go for the "best bang".

Cool the Ultra-120 Extreme is nice and slim, now I can fit my ocz ram cooler in my motherboard which I cant with my TT Sonic Tower as its a hoofer doofer.
Scratch that ,I aint paying 50 for a heatsink.

I am looking to replce my 3 week old Coolermaster Gemini 2 with a Thermalright FI-14 as it's so big i will have to remove 1 or 2 of my side 140mm and might as well attach it to the cooler

I have the Thermalright Ultra 120 and it's very high, you can not have a side mount fan over the top, trust me it's too high the heat pipes sitcking out block the fan.

update:
The Abit AB9 QuadGT is causing alot of problems with my all SATA drive setup....I got a late start and only had a few hours to work on it...I really need to get the OS in and update the bios(I have no access to floppies atm).
What I'm going to do is take the motherboard form my #2 PC an Asus P5N32-E SLI Plus (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16813131153) and use it in my main(this setup) its a probably a better choice

can't you update from USB drive or cd?

Not on the Abit(that I've seen) ..The Asus on the other hand has so many bios update options that you could probably write code on you finger, stick it in the RJ45 port and a successful update hehehe :)
No matter I want the Asus 650i as my main PC anyway

I had more pics but they were with the Abit....sry I was more interested in getting it together than shooting it... ;)
But its running very strong(specs in sig) the CPU has more but the chipset get redhot past 375 and I have to add NB volts
