Black sky with HDR in Far Cry -- driver problem ?

I have Far Cry (patched to 1.4) running with Vista x86 and when I enable any HDR effect I end up with a black sky. AA is off so there is no conflict with that.

Is this a driver problem ? I have installed the AMD64 enhancements (modded for use on 32bit) but I had this problem with and without it.

Cpu is AMD Opteron 170 dual core o/c to 2.4Ghz
Gpu is 7900GTX o/c 780/850

Tried without the o/c and no difference, so that isn't the problem.

I'm tempted to reinstall XP, but since Vista is the sole OS on my PC right now that will be a pain.

Anyone else have this problem ? If so were you able to fix it with a different driver ? I'm using the the 158.18 release right now.

I guess I've answered my own question... I just replaced 158.24 with 160.03 and the problem is fixed!

So far the 160.03 drivers are working well.
