Where are you seeing this? I've already seen it posted on two different sites. One had it at 410.00 and the other at 449.00$.

$499.99 is MSRP like UK RRP, that the manufacturer suggest price but case-mod.com do not sell at MSRP, they offer SRP of $429.00, SRP is the listing price what price the retailers wish to sell.
Hmmm it getting very strange with case-mod.com price, it now at $429.99 right now. Now that 4 different prices.

That falls in line with the article from vr-zone. They showed it should be $399.

The early prices I am seeing here in the UK is £258 - £270. That translates to over $500. Rip off.

LOL- they all look the same. Atleast with the G80 launch the board partners put different stickers on their cards. :p
Well it's in the UK too same price as the 640MB 8800GTS.

Dang... and I thought the Nvidia coolers were generic...
Also, note that these cards give off A LOT more heat than the 8800 series does. That may have a hand in why they didn't put a fancy sticker on the top of the card.

Bah. Who needs a bulky, heavy, archaic HSF on top of a graphics card, anyway? :p
Water FTW.
