http://www.evga.com/products/moreinfo.asp?pn=640-P2-N825-AR&family=23

had oringally ordered the 320mg version, and after reading a bit here and the recodmendation by some here to upgrade to 640mg, i emailed http://www.mwave.com, and they did change my order..thanks to mwave.. anyone who has this card give me any pointers on this card... i upgraded from a x1900xt, which was a very nice card, i was going to get the x1950xt, but decided 10x was the way to go....

If you are referring to Digital Vibrance- it isn't supported in Vista yet. :( But nVidia has stated that it will be in available in a later driver release.

wow, you wonder why vista did not support such a basic function of a video card?????

nVidia has just dropped the ball with driver support, that's all. They bit off more than they could chew in the driver department- that's my guess anyway.

Regardless, the overall image quality and coloring with the 8800's is the best out there- no card (even from ATi) can compare. Now, the HD2k series might change that- but for now, the 8800 is the ruler in terms of image quality.

You'll love your card, don't worry. I love mine. :D

Ive had my eVGA 8800GTS 640MB for quite some time now, by far the biggest performance jump ive noticed when switching from any model card in the past!... it still amazes me with graphical beauty, i still get killed even now playing BF2 just from standing and staring at veichles, my weapon ect in amazement(sad i know lol)some of the maps are really beautiful(especially wake island 2007) ... this card owns any game ive played, BF2, BF2142, STALKER, F.E.A.R, Riddick and more! ... all at 1920x1440 res with all eye candy turned on full and runs smooth as you like! although i do have mine overclocked to 600MHz clock core, 1450MHz shader clock & 1.8GHz on the memory so i suppose this helps lol, i bough a Thermalright HR-03 Plus aftermarket cooler and some AS5 to wack on my GTS, under vista it idles at around 50c, under xp idles around 48c .... ive yet to see it pass 63c under load in vista or XP!

Anyway glad to see you bough the 640MB version, you wont be disappointed!

I've had my EVGA 8800 Super 640 since January and I couldn't be happier with it. It's running rock solid 24/7 at 612/2016. I've never regretted getting it coming from ATI past 7 years. And in light of the x2900xt performing on par with my card or a bit more or less I am very happy that I got 8800. The visual quality in everything from 2D with Digital Vibrance to 3D games is just mindblowing. Cannot wait till they drop down a bit so I can add another.
