week?
TbedB's generally hit 166fsb fairly easy, some go to 200 w/o probs...
TbredA's will sometimes to to 166, and some hit 175-190 w/o probs...
Palo's *sometimes* can hit 166, and some lucky users have gotten 166-180 w/o probs...
newer style chips=less heat, more OC'ability...
...my 2 cents...
what chipset u runnin?

They changed the die size (the CPU is configured differentley) and its 40% smaller than the palamino so the cooler requirements are more strict. Copper contact only, no bog standard ALU. Urrm thats it, if you have a Thoroughbred 'B' you can most likley get some good overclockage out of it. There are various sites out there that explain the codes and what to look for to check this.

Well, my board is a ABIT KX7-333R, i recently cracked the core of an XP 1800+ Palimino (i think i cracked it, my comp just stopped working and thiers a green line across the core so i put 2 and 2 together) so i bought a 1800 tbred. It has yet to ship, but i just wanna get the downlow on it. Im using a swiftech MCX-462+ so the copper thing is no problem.

Doh :( lucky though the 1800+'s are not that expensive now to replace. I think ive seen them for about £44.
I didnt think cracking the core was fatal unless it was near the actual cpu/core (little square in the corner). I mean i thought the glass was basically just incrasing the surface area for heat dissipation. Hmmm.
