Now that I have seen the future(ATI's offering), I want to know what would be a cheap Directx10 upgrade from my 7900 GT. I play the occasional game. I will be getting Crysis for sure and my 7900 GT is having issues with LOTRO, a game I have been playing recently. Also I need all current games playable at 1360 x 768, all settings on high. I may be cpu limited(opteron 165 non-oced) and 2 GB DDR Ram. I am thinking 8800 GTS 320 MB if I can find it for less than 250. What say??

8800GTS 320MB would be an excellent choice because of its price/performance ratio. Itīs basically a GTS-640MB core with half the vram and from what I heard they overclock quite nicely too.

8800 GTS 320 MB would work. But for crysis I would wait tell I had at least $350 to buy a 8800GTS 640MB if your wanting to be able to use higher quality textures.

I hear DX10 games will be using larger textures, requiring more memory.

I would get the 640mb version if I were on a budget (which I currently am now :( ) :

check it:

well, I got the 320 MB version for 250 + shipping. I figured, since I cant get resolutions higher than 1360 x 768 on my TV, the xtra memory wouldnt matter for a while.
