Warsow is a free standalone first person shooter game for Windows and Linux.
It is based on the Qfusion 3D engine (a modification of the Quake 2 GPL engine), and aimed on the competitive scene, or the e-sports community.

It is developed with a focus on fast-paced gameplay and trix (trick jumps).
The game comes with several gametypes and a complete Power-up System including Weak and Strong fire mode for each weapon.

The graphics are cartoonish with celshading-like_but_not_Manga style.

Played the previous version quite a bit. It's actually pretty cool. Good movement and weapons. Will have to try this new version. Any word on the changelog for this version?

Thanks

EEk... I just played it...

:o

They actually managed to make the Quake 2 engine run like crap on an 8800GTX. I get mouse lag and some slight framerate drops at 1600x1200...

The game I played seemed pretty laggy too so it was hard to get a good idea of how it plays, but it seems like they just copied all of the weapons from Quake 3 and Unreal Tournament and made everyone move extremely fast.

I think I'll let someone else enjoy this one.
