Talk about a snore fest. Spurs will easily defeat Utah and Pistons will more than likely beat the Cavs.
Wake me up when the new basketball season comes around. I'm not watching that junk. The ONLY way I'll watch the NBA finals is if the Cavs(my fav team) defeat the Pistons, which is very unlikely.

Pistons all the way! (nana2)
Great to be a sports fan in detroit... Wings, Pistons, Tigers and U of M, don't get much better for a city. Which is great becasue that's the only thing going for Detroit :D

I hate both teams. There is not a single person on either team that is interesting at all. Tim Duncan is good, but he is "boring" good.

Game just started. Pistons vs Cavs,
bah, lebron didn't shoot hardly any the whole night.
What happened to Lebron. He never shoots anymore. He's Mr. Assist man now.... :headexplode:
Cavs lose :(
I stopped watching when Golden State and the Suns were knocked out :(

NBA is boring. I follow the standings and some stats, but I can't bear to sit there and watch, even during the playoffs.
That, and there isn't enough parity. There have only been what, 6 teams that won championships since 1991?
Bulls, Rockets, Spurs, Lakers, Pistons, Heat...

If its so boring, why even chat about it?
IMO, its the most entertaining team sport on TV. Nothing even comes close to comparing.
Watching golf, tennis, and baseball is worse than watching paint dry.
Football is ok, but games are too slow imo.
Soccer is fun to play, boring to watch.
What else is left? College sports ? :rofl Sorry, I like watching people play who actually have skill.

I'll stop watching it if the Cavs lose the series... which is extremely likely... :(
I'm still hoping the Spurs win it all. I'm a little uneasy about it after watching the first 2 games of the series though. The Spurs have been playing very well but only winning by a few points. Sure, there seems to be a let-down in the 4th but I could easily see the Jazz making a few big shots, having the Spurs tighten up a little and things getting more interesting down the stretch. I really hope game 3, with the Spurs getting some rest, will be a blowout win for the Spurs though thus damaging any lingering hope the Jazz might have had.
The Cavs have been looking pretty good but I don't think they'll be able to win the series. They need one more consistent scorer, I think, that can create offense out of nothing.

You have nothing to worry about. The Spurs are in an entirely different league than the Cavs, Pistons, and ESPECIALLY Utah. The only team that comes close is the Pistons and even they are no match.
Spurs will win it all. Hell, Spurs could win it all even if ANY 3 players from their team(other than Duncan) were somehow injured and couldn't play anymore. Their bench is by far the best in the NBA(in my opinion at least).

The Cavs main problem isn't having another consistent scorer. Their main problem now is the fact a FORWARD Lebron James is having to play Point Guard for their team. Its absolutely pathetic. Lebron should be on the court and do nothing but ballhog. He really should. Its stupid to watch this 6ft 8 FORWARD, who is going to go down in history as one of the best players of all time, play "point guard" and trying to make good passes for his team. His team should make shots for HIM. The Cavs could have easily won game 1 against the Pistons if James would have taken more open shots.
The Cavs need a point guard. Right now they have a Rookie Point Guard who does nothing but shoot airballs. Hughes who absolutely sucks at passing. And Eric Snow, who quite frankly I believe should leave the game entirely. Trade all those ****ers and get one semi decent passer. The Cavs already have a solid Center and Forward Squad. One decent point guard and they have a chance at the Title.
I still think they need their "Scottie Pippen" to go along with whatever they have. A point guard would help James but he'd still have it tough without a 2nd "scorer". The other guys are fine but I don't think they're able to carry the load if the team shuts down James or just allows him to score while they shut down everyone else.
Wow, things got kind of ugly between the Spurs and the Jazz at the end of the game tonight.
Hooray for the UFC, I mean the NBA !!!

If the Cavs win this series...it's not going to be because of Lebron, it's going to be because of this kid:

He's really developing into a real threat. I just hope they can pull off a win in Detroit Friday.
Yeah, he has really stepped up and provided a spark. Can't wait to see the next game since things are really starting to heat up.

psst.. Please. That kid isn't even a starter. If they win it, it is COMPLETELY due to Lebron James. Sure his team is actually helping and yes Gibson is stepping up(as well as the rest of the entire team), but James is the reason they are getting through it. Not because of some benchwarming rookie who has gotten a few lucky shots in.
I am however happy that this kid is stepping up. He's not the only one. Papalvich(sp?), Gooden, and Ilgaskis have been tremendous throughout the playoffs. The ONLY person who I am disappointed with the performance of is Larry Hughes. He has played terrible. This might sound mean, but I'm glad he got hurt. He was bringing down the team a ton. Its very uncharacteristic of him because usually he is a very good player.
Cavs FTW! :D

Lucky? Gibson is coming into his own...and yes...Lebron James is definitely the focal point, but without Gibson's assists/shots, the series would be over. Period.
Gooden is a Joke, and as soon as they get rid of Ilgaskis, the cavs will be a BETTER team.
