I wanted to know if there were still many people playing this online. I hear say that this game really shines in the multiplayer department so I was considering picking it up.

it was a terrible game but I never liked mech games and this was worse than most. There may be ppl playing it online still. I remember they had a tournament on Gamespot not too long ago.

I played the demo for a short while, it wasn't horrible. Then again it isn't a mechwarrior. I never really had time to get into it as I'm quite busy.

If anything, I'd recommend downloading the demos first.
