As a lifelong Blazers fan, this could be the best day in Blazers history. They lucked out in the biggest draft in years, and now get to pick Greg Oden or Kevin Durant to go along with Rookie of the Year Brandon Roy. It's been a long journey since the days of the Western Conference finals in the early 90's, but things are finally looking up here in Stumptown. :D

ooooo good luck to them.
It was about time they had lady luck smile on them.
They had such a bad season....
They have had a bad 7 seasons. Last year they were the worst team in the lottery, and slipped all the way to number 5, but lucked out with Brandon Roy, and traded up to also get LaMarcus Aldridge. Hopefully they'll be able to make the old (and well-deserved) Jail Blazers moniker go away.
I live close to the Rose Garden, and attendance last year was AWFUL. I'm sure the phones at the ticket office were ringing tonight though. :D

I hate the blazersand always have. I hope those hemp loving tree hugging pud wackers choke on their pick.
Go Sonics! :D
Actually to be honest. I hope the Blazers have a great season and continue to do so as long as The Glue is your head coach. I was a fan of Nate's since the Wolf Pack days and is my all time favorite Sonic. What the Sonics did to him was destestable. Nate was a loyal Sonic and the front office screwed him over big time. I don't blame him for leaving. The Sonic's front office has really let Seattle down. Now we might lose our team because they sold out. F' em. They can leave for all I care.
Aldridge and Durant would be cooler
Think about it, 2 longhorns.

I didn't know Nate was The Glue. He's done a great job here so far. Hopefully we can ship Darius Miles and Zach Randolph up to Seattle for Luke Ridnour and we'll be looking pretty good. ;)

I didn't know much about Aldridge until he came to town here, but I really like the way he plays. He could use a little bit more muscle but the guy's a great rebounder and has good jumper. And he hustles, which can't be said about 70% of the NBA.
Aldridge carried the horns the year before durant did the same. But Aldridge had more help. He SHOULD get better with experience. I expect a boozer-lite type player once he develops more.

They called him The Glue later in his career. They called him that because he came in off the bench at point and held things together after Payton SCREWED it all up. Magic Johnson said that Nate defended better than anyone he had ever played and this included Jordan and his team mate and defensive wiz, Michael Cooper.
I love the Sonics but I refused to support them after what they did to a loyal companyman like Nate and my love of the Sonics goes all the way back to their one and only championship.

Damn I hate the Blazers...I think it was a combo of my sister-in-law loving them and Rasheed...Damn that guy was a whiner when he was with them...He got alot better after he was traded (in regards to his bitching/throwing tantrums every call)....My team is in turmoil, so I guess I really can't talk crap about other teams... (Lakers - Kobe "trade me", Kobe "I'll stay if you do something"...Lakers "We will get this team together", then loosing Garnet and possibly Jermaine O'Neal is sickening...I guess they are both still on the table, but WTH do the Lakers have to trade? It HAS to be some sort of 3 or 4 way deal for them to get either one...It sucks to be a Lakers fan atm...While I'm at it, it sucks to be a Washington Redskins fan as well....Jeez...

Yeah, it was rough years between Clyde Drexler & Terry Porter and now for the TrailBozos. I live near the Rose Garden though and can't wait to see the new team.
I don't envy Lakers fans, that's for sure. Kobe is nuts and the franchise is a mess. If they got Garnett somehow they'd have a chance to get somewhere in the playoffs. I doubt it will happen though.
