Well my suggestion would be to go to the Nvidia website. Download the nvidia*.src.rpm's (4191 Version and the 3123 incase you may have problems). Also download the readme file. As you will need it to update/modify your /etc/X11/XF86Config file.
And follow my post below.

I run RH8.0 too, and this was tested on 3 different systems I've setup. And runs well.
If you had problems with the 4191 drivers, you need to change the references in my Script to the 3123 drivers (Just use a text editor or VI) and rerun the script on the 3123 drivers.
Hope this will help.

Do you use the RH Up2date utility or are you doing it manually?? The Nvidia Kernel drivers require the Kernel Source to recompile the drivers. The script that I pointed you to, will be needed to be run EVERY TIME you update the kernel else the Nvidia Kernel Drivers will not run.
If you have the default install you can install the Kernel Source from the CD. Or just go into System Settings then Packages to ADD the kernel Source. You will find it under the heading of 'Development' And tell it to install the 'Kernel Development' files.
You only have to install the kernel source when you update to a new kernel. If you use the RH up2date utility it will do it automatically.
If you purchased the RH8.0 package in a store, read the 'Customization Guide Manual' or if you downloaded the ISO's from RH download the manual from the RH website.

One thing to understand about linux is that it's not necessarily more difficult than windows, just different (hmm...also more involved).
Things that windows hides from you, linux allows you to change or configure, which makes things seem difficult. It's just a LOT!
Pick a configuration project, stick with it until it's right, then move on. There are tons of documents to help you get the most common things configured correctly. Be sure to read these with patience, and word for word.
When asking general questions in these forums, it is OK to ask if there is already documentation available, and where to find it.
When asking specific questions, it is wise to provide as much detail about the specific issue, so your question can be answered as quickly as possible!
Forgive if this is off topic, but I like to help out the fellow newbs!:D
