Just wait untill redeemed see this, I'm sure he has something to prove this benchmarks are fake lmao.
Someone will always blame it on the driver... I blame it on the card ;)
Too bad it's just one game and no GTS

No it not fake benchmarks because I ran with these same Ultra settings at 1920x1080 4xAA 16xAF on my LCDTV. On buggy track, I get 15-20fps and on 2 other tracks I get good 25-30fps on Athlon 64 X2 4400+. :)

I know it's not fake, but Redeemed seems to love AMD, so it wouldn't suprise me if he came in here and declared them to be fake.

I'm sure it's a driver problem but that looks really bad for ATI.

Doesn't seem to run too badly on the r600, but then again he's running it at a lower res.

8(ati) compared to 26(nvidia)
just wow, ati, just wow
nothing more to say

Well yeah, but shouldn't the game be gpu limited rather than cpu limited? So running it on a quad core shouldn't result in such a dramatic increase in fps. Lastly I think one shouldn't believe some benchmarks posted off of a site written in chinese/japanese. We don't know anything about it other than the scores, so it should be taken with a pinch of salt.

Sure,i just meant that the comparison between this and the user wasnt a easy one to make as the res differed as you said plus that a different cpu was used.

Those comparison shots are interesting in that chinese thread. It seems the x2900xt is applying AF even though they list it as only 4xAA.

Lower res and lower settings (default settings) the benchmarks from pcnlife use ultra settings.

I added some results @ Rage. The first set are default install quality and the second are everything set to max value or on. They are both 1680x 4xAA.

I found it to play smooth at either setting and didn't consider the FPS hit worth it to go all max, particularly because I didn't see real IQ returns for it.

These results are a long way off from what this guy is getting on his 2900:

1680x1050 - MAX Game settings - multisampling 4x - motion blur On

9 fps? I call BS. Sure it's at a higher res, but going up one size in resolution shouldn't make your FPS plummet by 300+%.
Take any results with a pinch of salts, so many variables from in game settings, to drivers settings to mobo settings to cpu etc etc etc.
Hard to do a apples to apples comparision. It's still too early to still pass judgement on the 2900 XT

Considering I own two 640MB GTSs, that I purchased on launch day, and am running and nVidia nForce4 SLi x16 based mobo... I don't see the validity in your statement.
Instead, I see a blind lust you appear to have for nVidia and Intel if you really think that the 2900XT can only get 8fps in that game. Where are the in-game screenshots with the FPS counter showing only 8 frames per second? Anybody could have made that graph.
