When can we expect nVidia to release the 2.4.20-x kernel for RedHat 9 so that I can have a 3D driver with my Dell Inspiron 8100 (nVidia gfg2)?
Also, as I'm considering buying a new Dell 8500 with either the ATI or nVidia GeForce Go 4 w/64mb ram and a WIDE screen, this is a fairly critical question on which video option I'm going to go for.

Red Hat 9 hasn't been released yet. There won't be a precompiled driver for it until that point.
That said, there will be a new driver available very soon.

waiting impatiently for the new nvidia Geforce rpms for redhat 9 ( it would be nice to simplify the installation processus) -
How do you have RH 9? You don't, it hasn't been released yet (RHN subscribers get it in two days, everyone else in nine).
So how can you be waiting, when you don't even have the OS?
Or do you mean the latest RH beta?

yes, I naturally mean that I'm using now the beta 8.094(phoebe3) version and in a few days the 9 definitive version.
sorry if my last post was confusing,

The beta has been frozen (no updates) for close to a month... I would just relax and wait... there isn't really much Nvidia can do... the LAST thing they want to do is release drivers now and have RedHat make a last minute change and wreck their drivers... We should see new drivers in 2-3 weeks I bet...
Besides if your REALLY upset just use Xfree86 4.3... it works with Phoebe and has support for nvidia cards.
