Well, god damn it...It's official...Kobe wants out of the Lakers.
Listen to the Interview : http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2886927
"I would like to be traded, yeah," Bryant said on 1050 ESPN Radio in New York. "Tough as it is to come to that conclusion there's no other alternative, you know?"
Bryant, interviewed by Stephen A. Smith, was asked if there was anything the Lakers could do to change his mind.
"No," Bryant said. "I just want them to do the right thing."

Any predictions on who will pick him up?
For some reason, a gut feeling tells me Charlotte Bobcats....

The sooner that Kobe realize that he needs help in the post, the better him and whatever team he goes to will be. Kobe's biggest problem is his ego. Once he controls that, the better he will be.

With him leaving who will head to the lakers. Will they do a Detroit and make a team of solid players as apposed to having ok players around one or two stars.
Kobe is another rich big baby. Who cares?

Kobe is another rich big baby. Who cares?
I happen to care...He is probably the best (at least one of the top 5) players in the NBA. The Lakers are MY team (favorite). Thus, I care that an elite player is about to destroy our team by leaving, though I don't just blame him...The lakers management is just as culpable...Damn I'm bumbed...They better get some damn good players for him...

Kobe is the TEAM. If he leaves, then they better pick up a whole new offensive line that will score. As long as they have Kwame Brown, I will never go back to being a Lakers fan

FYI he (Kobe) will be on AM 570 (KLAC) any second now and they will hit him with some questions I'm sure...

LA will have to get something in return for Kobe, but it won't be anywhere near equal value. Someone called into Rome today and said, "Trade Kobe for the 1st or 2nd draft pick." Yeah, right. There is no way a team is going to part with Oden or Durant. Maybe Chris Paul or something like that, or maybe Garnett. The other thing is that whoever takes Kobe has to pay the big bucks. The Lakers are funked either way. Good luck to them, and have fun playing for another crappy team Kobe... Charlotte, Minnesota, Atlanta, New York.

Yup, gonna be tough, Kobe is getting older, he has a couple of great years left then its all downhill.
I say go for a Garnett or someone like that.
I thought he softened his stance on that and being traded wasn't a demand.
