I've seen a long discussion on the steam user forums about there being tons of issues with the most recent updates. If you're having issues with steam, please post them here. Also, post if you have a solution to the given issue.

This is mine (along with a solution): http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=92422

i still don't understant why steam would cause BSOD when you start the PC.

I am having an issue since I updated... now ANYTIME steam is open, I lag like a sumbitch... my vent server ping is 12... open Steam, bam 1000+... and it isn't just vent, it is 1000+ pings to servers I regularly get 50ish at.

Pretty annoying :\.

I just played some DoD:S and some PVK2 and everyone had horrible pings. Mine weren't bad but everyone else had 100-300 in 3 different games I played.

There is definitely something broken in the land of Steam.

Just searched around some on steampowered and found a solution (sort of)... apparently when you open Steam it automatically refreshes EVERY server of EVERY game on steam or something... so pretty much murders your bandwidth... pretty crappy... basically when I open Steam now (until they fix this crap), I just have to go to servers and stop the refresh.

i'm running steam again to see if it causes BSODs again. At least this time I know how to combat it.

The only problems I've had after the updates have been high pings. Not necessarily a Steam problem though because Comcast can suck sometimes.

I definetely noticed I was lagging like hell after the update.

BSODs have stopped. Norton still freaks out and shuts down it's virus protection. I guess I'm going to have to reinstall it now. I don't know what else to do.

Other than that, no problems. CS:Source runs flawlessly. I haven't encountered any issues dealing with lag.
