Only person here that I know of with a R600 is XION and I doubt you will get him to purchase another Splinter Cell Game. LOL.
Is it not working correctly with the G80 yet?:rolleyes:

All I can say is WOW! JUST WOW! This is the most fun I have had with a game like this in a LONG LONG TIME!
It looks great, sounds great and most important of all plays great!.
Settings with a Single 8800GTX are 16QXA+MS TS, 16XHQAF and everything else at max. FPS 150+:D
No need for SLI here, LOL.

A little OT:
Is it me, or is Lara getting skinnier and skinnier in each TR game? She looks like a tooth pick. :thumbdwn:

I don't know what you are talking about? she looks great to me. I don't think some fat chick could do the stuff that she does and it sure wouldn't look as sexy in the process.

Well, this latest one is actually a Prequel to Legends and took place before it, so at the time she didn't have all that cashflow from buried treasure to purchase implants. She was just getting started in the biz.

Ran the FEAR ingame benchmark again but this time in Vista 32bit.
1680x1050, 4xAA, 16xAF, MS TSAA, Options Maxxed:
8800gtx STock
Low: 46 fps
Average: 88 fps
Highest: 200 fps
0% below 25 fps
0% below 40 fps
100% above 40 fps
The benchmark had higher FPS in Vista 32bit than in Xp. I ran the benchmark several times in both Os's and got the same results. Interesting.
I also ran the Lost Planet Demo Dx10 version in Vista 32bit and I must say it was a lot smoother. The lowest FPS were higher than they were in the Dx9 version. I was also running at HDR "HIGH" setting in the Dx10 version at the same resolution that's been tested before in this and the other thread. Still ran smoother.

You're gonna love these screenies I've got coming up, fellow NG Emulation-er ;)
Wouldn't do it any other way.
Reason I ask is because there is AF, and then theres the thingey that says "Quality," "Performance," "High Quality," "High performance."

Keep it on high quality. Mine defaults to that as well.

Correct, and in order to run HQ AF you must select High Quality in the CP.
You also want to set Texture Filtering Neg Lod bias to CLAMP.

Looks like my Zalman can handle 3.8 GHz 1.55 vcore with the case door off.. but I like having it on, so 1.4875 is where i keep it for 3.6 GHz.
taking screen captures, but not uploading them at this point.
E6600 @ 3.6 GHz
8800GTS @ stock
http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o148/buffbiff21/ScreenShot13-2.jpg 37 FPS
http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o148/buffbiff21/ScreenShot14-2.jpg 32 FPS
http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o148/buffbiff21/ScreenShot15-1.jpg 33 FPS
buffbiff21
06-06-07, 05:52 AM
EVERYTHING OVERCLOCKED:
E6600 @ 3.6 GHz
8800GTS @ 660/2000
http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o148/buffbiff21/ScreenShot18-1.jpg 41 FPS
http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o148/buffbiff21/ScreenShot19-1.jpg 38 FPS
http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o148/buffbiff21/ScreenShot20.jpg 42 FPS
...still not really playable for me. I like 60FPS dammit. So I just drop the AA to 2x and AF to 8x and turn off all those exotic forceware options.

Yeah, overclocked results are definitely better.
So for comparison's sake, let's go back to my benches on the "Anyone Brave Enough" thread with the Conroe @ stock speeds along w/ the XT at stock and compare them with yours @ stock speeds on your Conroe and GTS:
GTS = 29fps:
http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o148/buffbiff21/ScreenShot8-1.jpg
XT = 35fps:
http://img168.imageshack.us/img168/3922/oblivion200705310336053yy6.jpg
___________________
GTS = 31fps:
http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o148/buffbiff21/ScreenShot7-1.jpg
XT = 33fps:
http://img176.imageshack.us/img176/3811/oblivion200705310336565aj9.jpg
___________________
GTS = 32fps:
http://i119.photobucket.com/albums/o148/buffbiff21/ScreenShot9-2.jpg
XT = 36fps:
http://img168.imageshack.us/img168/7783/oblivion200705310336317cm5.jpg
So it looks like, at stock speeds, the XT is a little ahead of the GTS. Overclocked comparisons to follow. I'll run some benches in those same locales with my XT @ 875|975. It's interesting in that last pic as well that the HDR effect off the stone pavement is much brighter on my card. It might just be the angle at which we're standing, though.

The building looks different. On that last shot, there is a brown wooden building that looks like its bigger on your screen.
EDIT nvm. How come you're slanted to the right more?
