I don't know. I didn't move the mouse at all after loading Blacklash's saves. I snapped a pic immediately.

I don't know what you are talking about? she looks great to me. I don't think some fat chick could do the stuff that she does and it sure wouldn't look as sexy in the process.
I'm referring to her legs and arms mostly. She's a tooth pick. I've seen long distance runners quite a bit thicker than her that'd be capable of doing a lot of what she does (excluding the far-fetched stunts, of course). :p
Meh, it's just my opinion. She's far too skinny to be attractive. :p Ya'll can have that skinny compilation of polygons. ;)

Okay, so let's take a look at the overclocked results. Both sets of screens were ran with CPU (E6600) still at stock clocks (2.4GHz) and identical graphics settings (1680x1050, HDR, 4xAA and Transparency AA enabled):
GTS (660 | 2000):

Good run, Ben! That's about as good a comparison as anyone's about to get, I think. After this weekend I should have my board overclocked again and I'll post results w/ both the CPU and GPU overclocked.

Only person here that I know of with a R600 is XION and I doubt you will get him to purchase another Splinter Cell Game. LOL.
Is it not working correctly with the G80 yet?
it is "working" but makes every object in the game see-throught.
I would blame UBI for this, they released this ****, and don't bother fixing it

Where did you guys get that oblivion savegame?

Yeah, I've never been much of a fan of the Splinter Cell series, otherwise I wouldn't mind testing it for some. Is there a demo of it out there?
I'm about to pick up Test Drive so I can bench it too.

Keep it on high quality. Mine defaults to that as well.
Did you disable Cat AI? I believe you need to disable Cat AI to use the card's High Quality Filtering modes. Nvidia's HQ setting disables all filtering optimizations.

You also want to set Texture Filtering Neg Lod bias to CLAMP.
That was something needed on Nvidia's G7x cards to help with texture shimmering. On the G8x, it's recommended to be turned to "allow". ChrisRay has stated that using it on a G8x card could cause it's own problems. I've never noticed a difference with it on Clamp or Allow on the 8800gtx though.

So it looks like, at stock speeds, the XT is a little ahead of the GTS. Overclocked comparisons to follow. I'll run some benches in those same locales with my XT @ 875|975.
What drivers were used for those XT screens?
It's interesting in that last pic as well that the HDR effect off the stone pavement is much brighter on my card. It might just be the angle at which we're standing, though.
It's probably the dynamic weathering system in Oblivion. His shots has more tree shadows casting on the grass in that shot.

PS: I waited for the FPS counter to go steady, so I didn't take the SS directly after load, I made sure I made no mouse movements by putting my mouse upsidedown (nana2)

Forcing low quality resulted in an extra 3 fps... Rather pointless if you ask me.

It would be a real good one to test a GTS with its max OC vs a XT at the same. IMO that's the real question as most of us overclock. Of course AA|AF will make it more demanding. Try 8x|16xAF.
What Xion has posted so far for overclocking comparison results from "Oblivion".
GTS: 31, 33, 34
XT: 40, 38, 41
At Newegg the cheapest XT I can currently find is 409 with rebate, and the cheapest 8800GTS 640mb 329. That's a difference of 80usd. Hopefully its price continues to fall and they certainly should when the the XT with 1GB ram arrives. If you don't OC the GTS is definitely currently the better buy considering price vs performance. Overclocking definitely increases the value of the XT and from the "Oblivion" numbers it looks like the GTS has problems keeping up with it under those conditions in heavily GPU limited scenarios.
As far as "Splinter Cell" goes that's usually a very good benchmark for ATi, as is "X3". So if you want to make the XT look good, bench those :p

Does anyone know if Splinter Cell is still having problems with AA and HDR on the G80?
I would like to pic up that game but can wait a little longer if its still not working properly.
For the time being TOMB RAIDER is keeping me plenty entertained.:D

What drivers were used for those XT screens?
The 8.37.4.2s.
It's probably the dynamic weathering system in Oblivion. His shots has more tree shadows casting on the grass in that shot.
It was. If you notice the overclocked shots I posted later on mine had the shadows like his. It changes by the second.

Just picked up a brand new unopened copy of TEST DRIVE off of ebay for a buy it now price of $15.99.
Of course shipping was $9.00 but that still puts it well below the cost of getting a copy elsewhere. :D

The first shot comparison is also with differing viewpoints. Maybe both of you should load up the previous save game where we compared AF quality. The one with lots of yellow grass.
