Actully teh 8800gts will max out crisis as the devs had already stated. Teh Rsixhundred on the over hand will not be doing so well seeing as it can alrady bairly play bioshok. magor hardware flaws plague the r6hundered and when aa is on yoiu can forget bout it.
Plus dont forget a bout that huge electricity bill! lolololol

Not bad, my display is 1280x768 (Viewsonic LCD HDTV) SO I am limited but happy with the results. Great find guys and gals.

Considering most DX10 games perform poorly on all hardware, though, it's not a huge drawback for me.
No they don't, all running really well here except COJ of course because the lazy ass developers havent released a DX10 patch for the euro version.

If you're using fraps, there's an option under the "FPS" tab or "screenshot" tab--can't remember which--that you can check to include the overlay on your screens.
I agree that the game is cool, though. Definite purchase for me.

Well, you guys will have to find another R600 owner to bench against as I'm putting mine up for sale. I have an Ultra on the way as its replacement.
2900XT is a decent card with some nice potential, but the performance is too spotty in today's games for my taste. There are a # of games in my collection right now that are collecting dust because they don't play well on this card. Titles like Lost Planet (DX10), Bioshock(DX10), Lord of the Rings Online, Tomb Raider Legend, etc. And the AA issues it has with so many games has become too much of an annoyance.
I had planned to wait until the Crysis SP demo was out, but seeing as it's been delayed another month it's just too long of a wait when I have so many games now that I can play.
I plan to put my Ultra on water and will post some overclocking results if anyone is interested.

Well im still happy with my 2900. It seems to perform well even compaired to the GTX in Crysis. Im trying to get my friend to bring over his GTX so we can do some heads up testing on the same rig. I dont plan to upgrade untell the next Nvidia or ATI card is released.

Good luck m8 :) Be sure to put your impressions here,it would be good to know how you find the current driver situation to be since it was far from good when you jumped off the nvidia train.Seems like its a complete reversal now,the betas are released very often and they do fix quite a lot of issues(in xp anyway).I cant personally think of even one issue with my GTX presently and i hope you will be lucky this time.

Thanks. I'm really hoping for 700+. I'm going w/ a full-cover block to put the core / memory / regulators on water, so I just may get there. Depending on the chip, of course.

Thanks. I have a good friend w/ a GTX so I have some insight into how it's doing in Vista. Seems to be doing very well. From the benches I've seen, the Ultra does really well in Crysis, so I don't think I'll have anything to worry about for a while.

Did you not have 2 GTX's ? what did you do with those ?
I dont plan to upgrade until the next Nvidia GTX level card is released

Heh. I would, but I'm going to beat the game first before I go back and take some screens. ;) Although I will say that I was getting around 40 fps most of the time.

40FPS is low if you're not running AA, but Airborne hits your CPU really hard. It's completely maxing out my Conroe on both cores.
My game stays pinned at my refresh rate on my XT until there are lots of soldiers on the screen.

That's with AA. ;) My CPU is holding the performance back a bit though.
