Has Anyone Else Had This Problem

I have got windows XP install and now it want cut off when I go to sut it down it just rebootsand comes back on,I can't even shout it down with the power switch it just reboots.

Has anybody else had Win XP just reboot when you shut it down,the only way to shut it down is by the power switch on the power supply,but Win me will work fine.I guess I will have to switch back to WIN me,I just hate haveing $300 worth of XP CD's.

try updating your mobo's bios

Try going to your power settings and disabling APM (Advanced Power Mode) In most cases, this will stop 9x operating systems from freezing on shutdown and I would assume this would work for 2k/XP as well, although I have not encountered this problem on the latter OS's.
