I have friends who are having a party next week. They have the following two laptops and tv.

TV - Sony 42" flat panel # FWD42PV1/S
HP Pavilion dv8000
HP Pavilion zv6000

I know I can hook up the S-Video from either to the TV, but what can I do for sound? They wish to show streaming video online, for a concert online, through their tv.

Any help is greatly appreciated. I am just lost how to get the best sound instead of using the laptop speakers.

You need a stereo mini-plug to phono x 2 cable like this one:

or

or

You plug the mini-plug end into the headphone socket on the laptop and the phono ends into your TV's phono inputs.
