Traditionaly a generation is about a year. Going by that nVidia should be releasing the G90 within 7 months. It's still sort of a while, yes, but it is getting closer.

Nvidia PR is saying next gen is on track for this fall. Of course, that's only so much hot air unless (until?) something more concrete slips out, like results from first tapeout, or some other type of insider leakage :).
