SOLD

I have an extra Freezone that I am not using. TiKiMaN was the original owner of this item. I purchased it from him and it has sat in a box since.

The unit is 100% functional and 100% complete. AS5 is all ready to go on the CPU block. The controller is Rev 4.

Item will ship for an extra $10 insured UPS anywhere in the contiguous US. I am asking $175 for the unit.

Heatware is under HeavyH20 and eBay ID is ccieforsale (105 feedbacks, 100%). I will accept PayPal for payment.

Any questions, please PM me!

Yes, lots of questions but no takers yet. Then again, I didn't expect much movement until the weekend. :)

And, to answer some of the questions I have.

Why am I selling?

I have one of these on my second system and phase on the first. The third is a simple Opteron based office system and does not need any OC. The Feezone is simply sitting unused in a box.

Does it work decent?

Yes, if you are NOT running a quad, OC'd by 50%, you should be OK. It works well on C2D dual core processors. I used one of these to take the E6600 I have to 3.8 GHz.

Is watercooling better?

In some instances, yes. But, if ambient temps are high in the room, this can work much better. It is very similar, but since the coolant runs against the peltiers which transfers heat to an aluminum radiator, air flow is important on the radiator. For watercooling, a 240 mm radiator with a good pump, block, and reservoir will handle 175W plus of dissipation better (quads). Up to that limit, they are about the same if you have a 20C room temp.

Are you keeping your existing one?

Yes, it works just as well as water on the E6600, if not better.

Is all the stuff with it? Like the stuff I need to mount it to my 680i motherboard, will I have to take it out of the case to put the mounting bracket on?

You do have to remove your motherboard to put the mounting bolts in place. There are mounts for 939, AM2 and 775 that I know of. I would have to check the manual for others, but it is pretty universal.
