I have a eVGA 8800GTS for sale. It was purchased one month ago from Newegg.com but find it way too much card for a Linux only system not to mention the Linux drivers are hardly worth it on Linux right now.

Link (http://www.newegg.com/product/product.asp?item=N82E16814130038)

I am selling this in the retail box with everything that was included for $248 + shipping.

I also have a brand new in the box Thermalright HR-03 available with a 92mm cooling fan (sleeved black) for an additional $40.

Video card = $248 or $285 with HR-03 Thermalright cooler NIB!

Will trade + cash for a 7600GT or simular mid range PCI-E video card.

HEAT = Carlwill

How old is the 7800GTX and has it been or is it over clocked?

I will even trade for XFX 7800GTX XXX edition with VIVO and double lifetime warranty. Never OCed and run sparingly for gaming. Dual Link DVI to drive my Apple ACD 30" at 2560x1600 well ventilated in AC environment un-tampered with in any way. (Threw out the box since it was shaped like an "X" and didnt stack well :) have all cables adapters etc... Double warranty means lifetime transferable once. I purchased from newegg. Still have invoice.)

Sorry - no thanks on an even trade.

What would you want in addition? I have a ton of extra backup cards, mobos, CPUs, monitors, speakers, laptops, software etc... for trade, (and I am bursting at the seams with cash ;) ) Just wanted to give one of these new G80s a try.

I doubt the 8600 will resolve any of the driver issues you say you are having with the 8800. Just a thought...

P.S. Pulling offer on 7800... Thanks anyhow.

Crapping?

Edit: I guess you may mean posting the alternative I discovered... I appologize... post modified...

I am pretty sure if you are really having driver problems with the 8800 I cannot see how using the 8600 with the same drivers and pretty much the same architecture just slower clocks and fewer of the same render paths will solve the problem.
