OK so I've been in my new house for 2 weeks now. All of my neighbors, ignoring the covenents of the development, park their cars in the street on a regular basis. It's not odd to have to weave in and around cars parked on the curb when trying to drive home. In other words, cars being on the street is NOT an odd occurance.
Today, I have a few folks over for a BBQ. So, I parked my Camry in the street so others could use my driveway (thank GOD I have space in the garage for my shiney new Jetta). Being that all of you have seen Camry's before, you know its a big car. Not only that, its Red. Big AND Red..not easy to miss.
A women taps on my door and says she "thinks she hit my car." I walk outside to find this. She backed up her minivan from the driveway directly across the street from my house. She backed straight into my Camry. She claims she didn't see it. :nono:

Tell me, where do things come from when you are backing up? Yes, from behind you. Thats why cars have mirrors, and humans can turn their necks to look back.
Why do I even bother washing and waxing my cars, and keeping up with maintenence with these kinds of half-wits driving automobiles? This car has been rear ended once because a women "dropped her coke in her lap" (I kid you not, its on the police report), run off the road because someone was passing another car around a blind corner (I nailed a "Dangerouns Intersection" sign that time..the cops LOVED that), and now this. :banghead:

Hey, that's not too bad. My 85' Cressida has been hit and run twice and the dents are still there. It's too old to waste money fixing IMO. At least the dumb biatch was honest enough to admit her stupidity. After all, she only thinks she hit your car.
On the real side though, women + big car = NO. At least it wasn't a soccer mom SUV driver.

This is a major problem with women, that is backing up with out looking. They can't sit down on the toilet with out the seat being down because.....you guessed, they don't look when sitting down or backing up. I love women but man just turn around once and a while.

That doesn't look like that big of a dent, so she might luck out...but if one has a collision and the damage is over something like $250, $500, or so (might depend on the state), one is required by law to call the cops and have them inspect the accident.
Now here's the thing, you're parked, she hit you, she is at fault. Now in that it is probably below her deductable, nothing more might happen, though if they have to pay you, her insurance rates could go up. This goes to the insurance companies, it goes on her insurance...they accept fault. After all how could they blame you if you're parked.
But now for the tickley part. If you aren't supposed to park there, you might not want this reported because now yes she hit you, but you weren't parked where you should be. That could be a mess...
In all due right however, if she hit your car, she should offer to pay to fix it, in that it was the result of her carelessness...

No Cameras? Buy yourself some cameras and put them up on your house, make sure they are the top stuff, you should easily find their number plate of the persons car who hit you. Then get them back by:
1. Stalk them for a while to see their daily routine
2. Break into their house while they are not home
3. Fill the lightglobes around the house (or just in his/her room) with gasoline, seal them up (you can get some special glue) and wait.
4. The moment the lights turn on, BOOM!
