hi, i have an asus a7a266-e motherboard with the ali magic m1647 chip. i installed the latest drivers, but every time the xserver started it crashed. in the manual says that i must put NVreg_EnableALiAGP to 1 in os-registry.c but i don't know if i have to do something else. could someone please hel me.

this is the log of my reinstalled linux because i want something working. i haven't installed any driver yet because every time i do it, my system crashes and i only see a green dot. when i entered in rescue mode and did the modprobe nvidia. it said there was a problem with the GPL license and the module couldn't be loaded. why?

The log file after you reinstall is of no use, though. We need to see what went wrong in the current setup -- with the nVidia drivers installed.
And please, rather than making 3 to 4 posts with the text of the log file, just rename it (so it has a .txt extension so the vBulletin software will take it) and use the "Attach file:" functionality. Thanks. :)
The "no gpl-compatible license" message will not cause modules to fail, there must have been some other message there if it actually failed. If lsmod lists it, though, then it loaded just fine.
i don't want to reinstall the drives unless i'm sure that what i'm doing will work. because i don't want my system to die again. so i only need to know how can i do what the nvidia says

It should work, but I can't help you figure out why it doesn't work unless I see the error messages associated with the failure.
