Here is a recap of which I just posted over at my site(s)

It started out with this (http://community.enemyterritory.com/forums/showthread.php?t=1820) thread over at the official site.Just seen this on another forum..
http://www.fileplanet.com/178186/170...---Beta-Client (http://www.fileplanet.com/178186/170000/fileinfo/Enemy-Territory:-Quake-Wars---Beta-Client)
Is this for real?Unfortuneatly, when clicking on the download link, it takes you back to the main page and yes, I'm a subscriber.

Well that thread grew rather quickly and was eventually locked with the following statement from Splash Damage's badman (community relations manager)Please read and continue discussion in this thread (http://community.enemyterritory.com/forums/showthread.php?p=38811).Badman goes on to say in the new thread:What I can confirm at this point is that the Enemy Territory: QUAKE Wars Public Beta is definitely coming. I do not have a final date at the moment, but the groundwork is obviously being laid for the thing to roll out soon-ish.

We will have much more on the ETQW public beta in the near future, laying out our plans for the beta and how you can participate.

Stay tuned...- So with all that said, and my leaving tomorrow for a business trip in LA, can only mean the demo should be out next week............ while I'm away from home and my main box!
- Click here (http://www.fpsadmin.com/gallery/main.php/v/sitenews/fp_et_demo.jpg.html?g2_imageViewsIndex=1) to view screenshot image of the download in full size

One last thing, the source forum which started all this is OcUK (http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=17742772&page=1&pp=30)

Yeah I don't think its meant to be working yet.

When I click the download link it just goes back to the main fileplanet page.

I'm a subscriber too.

So there is nothing added for Vista I take it? If so, I will install this on my XP partition as I know it will run a lot better on it than on Vista.
