View Full Version : Resolution stuck to 1024x768

i have got a problem with vista and the my desktop resolution. everytime i install a nvidia driver other than the default vista one, i cant set the res higher than 1024x768. i tried a lot of different versions, but nothing helped.

im using a gf6600gt with a xerox xa7-19i tft connected via dvi.

is there a chance to mod the nv_disp.inf to get my default res of 1280x1024 back?

Same issue here. Tried several drivers, nothing higher than 1024 x 768? I need 1440 x 900. Any ideas? I have no idea how to change the ini file.
Thanks in advance!

Are you guys using NEC monitors by any chance?

No, AMW, from Frys Electronics (unless it's the same thing under a different name). Under xp, no issues.

I found a fix for my computer. I connected a vga cable to the d-sub on the monitor and used a dvi adapter on the card. Now I have 1440x900 back. Not ideal but at least it worked....
