Well, I don't think it's gonna take much longer now till official release

This driver has CUDA support, so another feature in it, but not especially for us gamers

Well if this is indeed the driver we are waiting on, a lot of us will be disappointed. I have it installed on Vista 64 and neither DV nor SLI are working. :thumbdwn:

From you response, I'm thinking it's not the driver we are waiting on?

More of a reply to installing a 32bit XP driver on Vista64, or do you mean you got a hold of the Vista64 developer driver?
If you did, then it's a bummer if the new one is bunk too.
I just want my DV back... and maybe some nView Desktop Manager... and some donuts...

Yeah, I suspect the vista driver will perform better on vista tho.

All this new driver is going to add is sli support for directx10... I wouldn't expect too much more really.

Driver date seems a little bit old for the supposed release this week.... hope a newer one is the official. They have said they will include DV for the second time now (Brian_S on Nvidia forums confirmed it)... please please please just include it so there is no more false hope.

I am using the Vista driver, and from the limited testing I've done (3dmark06) SLI is not working.

Is that with Directx10 apps or at all?

Just tested the Cascades demo, and it doesn't seem to run any smoother than v158.45.

Oh thank goodness, that's what I was waiting to hear!! :captnkill: I thought it was an older driver but I wasn't sure. Looking forward to DV and SLI!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

oops, didn't see the ver, yeah 165.01 ar eover 2 months old.

Also I suspect 162.01 won't be the ones we get either as they are just a continuation of 160+.xx, I would consider this a new feature so perhaps a carry on of 165+.xx but it depends what feature they were checking there, could even be 170+.xx - this is all based on how I think the nvidia driver model works but we will have to see.

I can't remember what modifications 165.01 had to the control panel, but people seemed to like them, hopefully the next set will be a merger of a few great features.

On a side note, I played Stalker yesterday for the first time since I tried to play it when it was released, so much better so thats cool :D

162.14 drivers are released!

But no one can download them?? Is the BETA link working for anybody? I see them, but I got a generic 404 error from nVidia...:thumbdwn:
