Priority of Laptop/APM/Suspend Support

Just curious. I'm wondering how much of a priority APM/Suspend support is with NVIDIA's Linux developers. I've really enjoyed using the NVIDIA drivers with my SuSE 8.1 laptop, but it's becoming impractical to not have a laptop that can recover from an APM suspend or hibernate operation.

I haven't tried the suspend support yet, but I was wondering if you switch to a text-mode console (ctrl-alt-F1, for example) before the suspend, is it still a problem?

Yeah, it's still a problem. The resolution gets messed and I end up with a 640x480 view of my 1400x1050 desktop.
