Okay, so I read, if you buy a Retail Vista version, say Home Premium Retail, it only comes with the 32 bit DVD version.

I see you can order a 64 bit DVD alt version from Microsoft by entering in your product code yadda yadda.

How much do they charge you for the 64bit ver DVD, in this way? How long does it take to arrive?

$10.00, it took about 5 weeks to get mine. Worth it though.

Same here, $10US although mine only took 2 weeks to arrive in Australia.

Vista Ultimate retail is the only one that comes with both 32/64bit disks

You can just download it from a torrent site and use your 32-bit key. It will work fine.

For something as important as an OS, I rather get it from a legit confirmed source.

It took about a week to get it to California.

The MD5sum of the legit windows CD images are supposedly well known, just make sure it is correct and you have an exact 1:1 copy.

Got my disc within a week. I was shocked and not ready for it yet, I thought it would take awhile and have not even bought my new ram yet.
