View Full Version : NVIDIA RIVA TNT Model 64 (Sony)

i'm running windowx xp pro but i cant find any drivers that can install to this video card only the ms drivers installed i know theres better card out there i have a 8800 gts but thats not my problem i just want some help in were i can find the drivers for this video card i tryed some but nothing works it says that it didnt find any hardware to install it to all i want is to have the nvidia controlp annel on it so i can play a game that requires 16mb ram to play the video card is a NVIDIA RIVA TNT Model 64 (Sony) with 32mb

Try downloading an old set from http://www.laptopvideo2go.com. And try using periods from time to time.

i dont understand that website i just see numbers but nothing els no information i cant b downloading stuff i dont know what they are

u can download an old driver from 2003 era from http://www.laptopvideo2go.com
like FW 40 or FW 3XXX
PS: don't worry laptopvideo2go.com is a reliable site, they compress drivers that's why they are small and exe..

edit: u can also download from http://www.station-drivers.com/page/nvidia%20forceware3.htm
try the 71.4X..

edit2: from nivida site they list 78.01 as compatible with TNT2! :http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_78.01.html

thanks alot but i used a program called version tracker that got the most up to date that worked for my vid card and its all good now but thank you guys

I think if you went to the Device Manager and did properties on your video card you could update the driver manually. Point it to the NVIDIA folder where the 71.89 drivers were extracted to and select Have Disk, or 'I will choose the driver' or something like that and it would've worked. If "Sony" is in the video card's name maybe no regular drivers would work - except if you manually force it do load the old fashioned way using the Device Manager.
