Thermalright HR-03 Plus w/Silverstone FN91 92x25mm fan

Orginal install config. I didn't like this because I had no room for a fan directed at the under side of the card and I had to remove my slot fan, seemed to me like alot of dead hot air could build up in the lower case.

Final config. I reversed the HR-03 and it fit ;) This leaves room for a 120mm PCI fan and greatly improves air flow over the RAM and PWM chips, room for a slot fan too...bye stale air . I need to do some load and clock testing but, idle temps at 600mhz core(2D) dropped from 64C to a steady 48C. I'll post the good stuff later.
Edit:
Nice :D
load @ 612mhz 64C
load @ 630mhz 66C (this is less than my idle temps with the stock HSF)
I've been running the core @ 612 because load temps would exceed 80C under load....my new core clock is now 630mhz

How is your CPU temp? That fan setup looks like it'd be dumping the GPU heat directly into the CPU heatsink.

That PCB looks like it's screaming in agony.

Its not.. the HR fan is blowing down into the heatsink. I have so much top case air flow the Ninja is never even warm to the touch. I believe if I ran the HR in the org. config it would be recirculating the massive heat produced by the RAM and PMW, causing GPU\card temps to rise. with the HR heatsink on top, I can evac the heat from the chip side of the 8800. The CPU temp hasn't changed a degree
Anyway...I added load temps and my new clock

Ive had my Thermalright HR-03 plus on for months now, using arctic silver 5 and a 92mm vantech tornado(zalman fanmate2 controlled) ..... my card is clocked at 612\1485\900 .... i can actually clock it higher than this i just dont like to stress the card to much, ususal load temp is around 57c - 60c, see attachment for idle temp(can sometimes rise higer than this, depending on room temps)

I would never go back to a stock cooler!

I also used AS5, I'm hoping after a few cycles and many more happy hours of use :) temps will drop 1-2 degreesC more.
I am impresssed with the HR-03, to say the least, it puts the reference HSF to shame.

Is that a Jeantech case by any chance?

I love mine too.

It fixed the one thing I didn't like about my GTX; idle temps. I idle 45-47C now depending on ambient room temperature.
