I am still stuck on which one to buy. I never experience ATI graphic Card but fro reviews the 9500Pro seems quite nice but there are quite many problems with their drivers. NVIDIA seems to do both well. Anyway I am stuck!!!

If you can afford it, I think the 9500 Pro is a better card. I haven't used a ti4800, but I have used a ti4200 that was pretty well overclocked and nice...but it didn't hold a candle to the 9500 Pro I got to play with.

It's DIFFERENT than all the previous ATI cards I've owned, it ain't a buggy POS. ;)

Seriously, it's not. The damned thing didn't give me any trouble and all the talk you hear about the damn near free & beautiful AA & AF is absolutely true. It's a fabulous card and you won't regret it if you buy it. :)

And this coming from a guy who's all excited 'cause he just bought a GF4 ti4400 since he couldn't afford a 9500 Pro yesterday. But it's my honest opinion.

If price isn't an issue between the two cards you mentioned, I feel the 9500 Pro is the far superior of the two right now. :D

well the price of 9500Pro and Ti4800SE is about the same only few bux difference so that's why I dunno which one to buy.

Both are fine cards, would go with 9500Pro. As that troublemaker digitalwanderer said, its alot faster when you turn on the fsaa and AF.

No contest, the 9500 Pro is the better card of the two you're looking at.

Yeah i agree the Geforce 4 Ti4800SE is just a Ti4400 w/ AGP 8x, it only adds an extra 50MHz to both the core and memory over the Ti4200 8X, so i would go with the Radeon 9500Pro.

The other thing to do would be to go look around some of you fav games forums and look for any problems with any of your fav games.

I'm very happy that I replaced my Ti4600 w/a 9700pro. The 2D quality improvement alone was worth it. :)

I hope you're not asking me, I'm anxiously awaiting the arrival of a Gainsward GF4 ti4400 Golden Sample that I picked up on the cheap this weekend and REALLY hoping it comes today! (Yeah, from the nVidia basher from hell. Hey, the GF4 freaking ROCKED! :p )

Dont worrie, since i saw The DigitalWander was getting an Nvidia card, i feared that the universe would collapse, to counter that me, The GlowStick would have to get an ATI card : O

I set my alarm clock for 9:20am, when i get to CompUSA at 10:00AM when they open, they better have the 9800Pro in stock, or else!

The or else is if they dont have it, im going to abandon getting a videa card alltogether and wait this round out.

I will use the money to try to make my car faster, for IRP! : D

It's really more a matter of what you want to play & how powerful the rest of the PC is. The GF4 TI series is still a kick ass video card, and one of the best you can own for DX8 and older games. But if you wanna be ready for the latest technology and your PC specs are good enough, definetly go R9500. I hear it's much less buggy than R8500 series was/is.

Personally, I would sooner upgrade my CPU than my TI4400 because my video card handles everything I need it to perfectly. UT, UT2k3 and AVP2 all work great. I would likely get more FPS boost from CPU or FSB speed than anything else at this point. And don't mention 3dmark2k3, because it's the biggest joke benchmark there is considering it's one of the only DX9 programs available right now

Anyway back to the topic, if you got a GF4 TI already, or your running less than an AXP2100, I'd say keep it. If you need a new card for a new system, definetly R9500 because it's good to be prepared.
