View Full Version : Saving Microsoft Office
I have Microsoft Office 2003 with everything that can be used on as many computers as wanted with the same serial number. Same goes with XP. Problem is I don't have the disk for it anymore I can get the serial number but not the disk. Is there anyway I can save this without getting a new copy? I want to reformat but I obviously need that software for school but don't want to pay the 100+ bucks for a new one.
Thanks for the help.

Just get bittorrent, find it on torrentspy.com and dl the iso for it. It's not pirating if you own a legitimate key to the software.
I just realized I can't find the serial number. Where can I find it. I found the Windows XP serial number so I'm guessing you can find the Office one also.

Now this sounds a little suspect to me. First you don't the CD and now all of a sudden you don't have the key anymore.

I love magicaljellybean! Been using it for years. That's all I'll say about that. (lee63)
I use a the volumized copy of XP Pro and Office. from a friend's dad who lets us use it. But since the discs are copied and the serial numbers were on a piece of paper...family loses them. Its very frustrating but it was a lot cheaper. Its not pirated or anything. I just need to find out how to get my serial numbers. I thought I had it from the system Info but it's not working or not full.

So call your friend's dad.
I used the MagicalJellyBean thing to find it and it worked like a charm. The number in the System Info isn't the Key I needed ><. Thanks for calling me a pirate

Glad to have helped you, however, what you stated above is a clear-cut example of piracy. If you're operating under budget constraints consider using Linux as it's free or taking advantage of some of the student priced versions of the OS.
Piracy is theft. Use Open Source software or pay the licensing fee. A VLK is no excuse or a free-pass for piracy.
