I was doing updates today and noticed there Creative XFi drivers availble.

The drivers are from last month and what is weird is there is no new drivers on Creative.com for XFi.

There is no documentation discribing what is new in these drivers.

Maybe Creative gave them to Microsoft first.

Wow, it appears no one here runs this hardware or uses this site for updates. Lets see XFI-Windowsupdate-Drivers= Whats with the drivers?

Probably same drivers as on the Creative site. Just MS dated them from the time they got them.

How about you install the windows update drivers and do some version checking and testing for us. :D

I did and it disabled the ac3 features and some 3d features. I reverted back to the install before.

No good stick with the autoupdate.

I noticed that too before, but since Creative itself didn't have newer drivers posted, I decided NOT to take my chance, till someone else noticed it.. Besides, my X-Fi works fine now, so kinda leary of changing drivers when everything works.

This is really annoying me.

They had this hardware out for almost a year and look at this page, nothing for XP and even Vista.

What are we supose to do install our packaged CD with Vista?

Take a look at Vista too, no driver updates.

The CD that came with these cards aren't going to work with Vista.

Dammit Creative fix this **** now.

Theres an ISO of the current cd out there which is Vista Compatible. Or you can pay the $7.95 shipping fee and they send u a Vista Compataible Driver/Application CD.

The Xfi Xtreme Gamer came out last Fall, I should know i paid 139 for it. I just connected the Xfi platium drive to making it a Champion series.

The driver cd that came with it last Fall isn't for Vista. Don't get these cards mixed up with the regualr XFi cuz there not the same according to Creative so don't use the unified driver on the site.

The site doesn't show current drivers for the Xtreme gamer Fatalaity series yet. Why i don't know.

The new Fatalitys are the same exact card as the original fatality card. its just that they didn't include the bay on some of them. Creative always does this with all their cards. They did it with the Live, they did it with the Audigy's, and now the X-Fis. Just make sure you didnt get http://us.creative.com/products/product.asp?category=209&subcategory=669&product=15853
that X-Fi, and urs is the larger black card with the 64mb X-ram. Drivers are the same, but for the bay you don't really need any other software. There is no AC3/DTS decoding yet for Vista. only the Dell OEM X-Fi's have that capability right now. Everything is controled via the Audio Console which should have come with the Vista Drivers. If you want the extras, the software pretty much access the console but in separate applications.
