Is there any program out there that actually reports the proper temps of your cpu?? I've tried Core Temp, Speed Fan, the Intel TAT, Everest Ultimate. I've done them one at a time, 2 at a time and all 4 at a time. They range from 29c to 40c at idle, while running Stalker @ 1600 x 1200 FDR on and all settings maxed, they all peek at about the same 51c to 53c, same temps for Oblivion and FEAR, and all 4 hit 62c while running the Orthos CPU stress test. So the load temps I'm guessing are probably correct as all 4 output essentially the same thing but an 11c difference for idle across the board is just whacked....that's just about 52f difference....the difference between a rare and well done steak is less than that.

Core Temp uses TJunction temps, which is always 15C (+- 3) higher than TCase temps. TAT uses TJunciton also but it also stresses your CPU when running so don't use it to measure idle temps. Speed Fan uses both TJunction and TCase, not sure about Everest.

When I run TAT it reads 8 to 10 FPS higher then Core Temp....they're running at the same time. Thing I'll get one of those point and click thermal probes....I'm starting to think none of these programs actually work correctly.

TAT and Core Temp read the same for me if I run them at the same time.
