Ive got some old games im selling on ebay, just wondering if vista's 95 mode is any better than xp's so I can test em. Cant see for myself as im in the midst of an upgrade.

I don't think it's much different from XP's. And if your old programs are 16-bit I don't think they will work in Vista. Although that may just be Vista 64-bit.

16-bit programs work fine in vista x32, just not vista x64. Though if you are trying to run older games, I would recommend running them in a VM with win98se.

System Shock 2 doesn't work at all. :(

went through all the hassle of installing win98 on Microsoft Virtual PC,then realised it doesnt support a 3d driver. Went back to xp and finally got the thing (resident evil) to work. Strange that its sometimes easier to get an amiga game working on a pc than a pc game.
I'd have thought some geeks would have got all those old graphics cards/drivers virtualised
