It only works on the desktop and after you come out of a game you have to reset it. Can't believe it doesn't work in game!!!!

For me if I run games at the same resolution as the desktop there is no problem, always sticks. Only exception is DX10, has to be run in a window otherwise won't work regardless.

DV enhances color saturation (makes it more vivid, colorful, makes colors rich or whatever you want to call it).

Why would anybody want to distort colors? I can imagine this to be a good thing on washed-out CRT, but on LCD?

It's because LCDs look bland without it (at least all the ones I've used).

I think what it gets rid of the most is the "grey" look (eg. blacks are actually black instead of grey).

My laptop in XP needed it to look normal to me. In vista it didn't, and the new LCD I have has its own post processing that looks good and I can change that on the panel while in games and such. DV has its place in some machines, its nice to have then, and you don't need to worry about it if you don't need it.

I just don't undestand why Nvidia driver team wastes time to DV junk there are more pressing matters like fixing those damn Nvlddmkm Stopped responding errors that are bugging hell out of me and many others.

It always worked fine for me, and I really think it improved the color on my LCD. I really enjoy the feature, and as such would appreciate it if it worked on Vista if I ever decided to upgrade.

I noticed if I set it higher than 20%, the screen will flicker in game at the same res as the desktop. Annoying...so I set it to 20% and maybe it will be fixed later.

Raise saturation where? The only control for saturation is in video settings.

Thats a hardware limitation of an LCD display. I don't see how DV can make grey black into true black via software.

I don't know exactly why, but in my screen (BENQ FP93GX), I was able to adjust the 'black' more towards a real black with software than hardware tunning... I may not be the only one.
