I've got the game for 360 and I definitely attest to sluggish controls being a problem there, too. And when you combined the sluggishness of the controls with the insanity-inducing sluggishness of those exosuits...man.

Not only that, but the game is ridiculously frustrating at times (not counting the control issues), to the point where I've given up playing it for good after spending 3 hours on one seemingly impossible boss fight.

The frustration simply isn't worth it. The graphics are great, the concept is awesome, but the delivery is lackluster at best.

Thanks for the honest review..I've been hearing similar about this game from others too. I think I'll wait. :)

Great review, no BS, concise, and includes a screenshot of a Big Ass Worm to boot.

This is a pretty cool game. Overall the controls (mouse and keyboard) are fine as a person or in a VS. There's the snowmobile that's impossible to control, at least for me. I'm not that good of a gamer, so others can no doubt do better.

But as far as a single player game with lots of eye candy that's pretty much lock and load, this is a great game. The bosses can be tough to beat but not impossible, otherwise this game would be too easy.

Let me guess. It was that stupid butterfly boss?

Nice review. I love this game and considering getting it for PC but I'm going to wait a bit since I already have a copy for 360.

I hope there'll be a sequel.

YES! AHHHHHHHHHH!!

That stupid boss fight was SO infuriating! And those damned exosuits walk SO SLOW that I would get in a new one and be down to like 20% health before I could even pick up guns because it attacked.

Man...just ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous.

Yep. That's the boss that made me walk away from the game too. I knew about shooting the wings to bring it down temporarily but it was such a one-sided battle in favor of the boss that I lost interest in the game.

I didn't even think of shooting at the wings. I just kept firing at its abdomen and I think I had it close to death a few times, but whatever. Way too frustrating and now it's too late.

I loved the mechs in this game. Brings back memories of old school mech warrior games.
